Category Management – Warehousing & Logistics
- Lead procurement activities for warehousing and logistics services in alignment with category strategies.
- Conduct sourcing events (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) and negotiate commercial terms, rate structures, SLAs, and KPIs.
- Benchmark warehouse cost models, market rates, and commercial frameworks used by service providersInvoice & Cost Structure Expertise.
- Analyze warehouse billing logic across storage, handling, throughput, labor, and accessorial charges.
- Identify invoice discrepancies, overcharges, and root causes of billing variances.
- Contribute to the creation of invoice validation controls and governance frameworksSupplier & Stakeholder Management.
- Manage relationships with 3PL/4PL warehousing and logistics providers.
- Engage with cross-functional teams – Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Legal – to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with contracted terms, SLAs, and performance expectations
- Operational Understanding.
- Apply strong practical knowledge of warehouse operations: inbound/outbound processes, storage systems, labor models, equipment use, automation levels, and value-added services.
- Assess operational drivers that influence warehouse costs and invoicing structures
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement or Category Management of Warehousing and/or Logistics within a large CPG/FMCG company.
- In-depth understanding of warehouse cost drivers and commercial models.
- Proven experience managing 3PL/4PL contracts, negotiations, and performance.
- Strong experience with invoice structures and dispute resolution.
- High comfort working in a project-based, part-time engagement model.
