According to the affidavit filed during the nomination for the Davangere South Assembly constituency for the 2023 elections,
Shamanur Shivashankarappa had personally declared assets worth a total of Rs 292.83 crore. Out of this, Rs 63.96 crore was deposited in various banks. He had invested more than Rs 85.32 crore in various companies, including Indian Cane Power Limited. He had gold (2 kg), diamond and silver ornaments worth about Rs 2.24 crore.
